I first saw this instructive and infotaining video of Andrew Cohen in teaching last year at Hokais blog. Unfortunately Hokai is in absence now so I will post it again. I like the style of Andrew very much and more people should have the opportunity simply to listen to him.

Pretty yang style - entertaining.
its only this snapshot..in toto I see more Jeet Junme Do Style…Bruce Lee incorporated in his understanding of Ying and Yang the full spectrum..and was iconoclastic too….):)
Yes, I think he's a pretty good communicator - pretty much impatient with the people he's having a 'dialogue' with (that's what the video says; but it's reall not a dialogue) - but what he's saying sounds pretty good.
I just heard again from one of his former disciple how much abuse - even to violence - there is in his community. He didn't volunteer it; I had to ask him and even then I had to apply all my art of listening before he owned up to physical violence - nobody is really proud of not having had the courage to stop abuse, right? (If you're interested in what former AC disciples including three former editors of What Is Enlightenment? magazine have to say, click here”)
Yes..I know this post from Hal Blacker and other stories from Ex Students. I have no insight…so I cannot comment it. If he thinks to be abused in non-consensical way -he should go to a lawyer.
You know how hard that would be? And even then, or especially then, you will be trampled upon and abused even further - remember Rabbi Gavni where 5 women went to the police and he publically admitted the abuse? Anybody supported these women? No. Ken Wilber wrote a lengthy apology for his friend.
Going to lawyers is something for real heroes…
nice. thanks for posting this Albert. it would be cool to have a video of the dialogue between Cohen and Wilber. or better, have someone representing integral thinking on Big Think :)

Mushin.I know..it IS hard…However….I prefer to frame these difficulties on a much larger scale..its ALWA>YS–no matter of with teacher or without ….VERY difficult to go through the fires and ordeal of REAL Transformation with beeing hurted… its in each case so much fire in it.. Who will throw the first stone???
BTW. If anybody would try to hit me physically without my permission I would kick his ass so hard he or she will never forget…
Rommel….good link:):)however there is difference between big thinking and big ideas and big transformation KW and AC are speaking about. This is real ordeal, a fire process where all great mystics have reported about. it takes more than using the heads..its about liberation in toto…
“however there is difference between big thinking and big ideas and big transformation KW and AC are speaking about.”
i know. what i'm saying is, they could use more technological know-how on how to spread their ideas. in short, they could use more growing up on the technological line of development :)

d`accord! That would mean of course..they change their style of communication. Right now I see no significant signs. Maybe it will take some years more for a change in this direction. Every new directive of course needs new prioroties.
We all have 24 hours a day. We must make our living. And the rest of time demands conscious choices how to communicate.Leg work has to be done. And the virtual roads demand energy and committement as much.
I agree absolutely with you about increasing technological communication. Did speak with Gabriela Ender, CEO and Founder of OpenSpace Online repeatedly about this. She confirms that lots of CEOs only slowly understand the impact of Online Real Time Communication.
From some IBM Guys I know they are pretty much into it already. Even the big EU burocracy is waking up. So I am confidential that Integral Life will wake up to it too…soon:):) Thats the beauty and power of P2P….
“Thats the beauty and power of P2P….”
exactly! and that's why i'm loving Current TV :)

yes..and remembering the theme of Andrews video the hint of Alan Tonkin which expresses the ET and IT Ratio (put very simply)
“The basic split in the world is that around 70% of the world population cover the spectrum Purple/Red/Blue with the other 30% covering Blue Order, Orange Enterprise and Green Environmental issues. If the UN was based on a Security Council based on one man one vote it would become a Red/Blue organisation. Until there is a fundamental shift in values the developed world is going to battle to get Western style democracy to work however much they might like to think it will work. In terms of our findings with the Global Values Monitor (GVM) there are minimal percentages in Yellow Integral with almost no Turquoise to speak of. ”
Large Global Scale integrated and innovative communication -including Cysco Systems, Microsoft, IBM and Google technology -systems are more important than ever before.
Not only connecting the dots between ore than 6 Billion earthlings, but uplifting them! The talk of connecting the dots is to weak. A new communication revolution is in itself a project for the century!
Ever wonder how a huge flock of birds changes direction, or how enourmous numbers of ants get everything done, or how how crowds move?
It's interaction - a few small similar things done by huge numbers.
Most brilliant thinkers nowadays still theorize and act as if human societies moves because people make individual choices based on knowledge and understanding. Most of us - even if very, very brilliant - don't. Our actual behavior in concrete situations is mostly influenced by what we perceive people around us do.
